Beautiful vintage bisque porcelain artist doll by renowned NIADA founder Magge Head Kane. This "Magge Head" portrait doll features a finely detailed mold with a classic Victorian-style black updo, hand-painted facial features, and delicate porcelain shoulder plate and limbs.

She comes dressed in an elegant ivory satin gown with intricate lace detailing and her original necklace. The back of the shoulder plate is clearly incised with "MAGGE HEAD." A wonderful addition for collectors of mid-century American artist dolls.
